fxgnosis compares forex brokers for traders in different regions. The project is run by Leanid Busel, a trader and engineer with 15+ years of practice in both fields. Below: details of experience, the approach to ratings, and editorial independence principles.

Experience and qualifications

Forex trading since 2011

Personal trading practice began in 2011 with FxClub. It later expanded to Libertex and FxPro (since 2022). Instruments: major currency pairs and metals. Trading style evolved from scalping early in the career to a current medium-term approach with trades lasting from a week to several months. This personal experience shapes the view of what matters to a trader when choosing a broker and where marketing claims diverge from reality.

Engineering experience since 2011

Professional software development in frontend. Domain experience in fintech, media, and education platforms. Primary stack: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js. This background defines the project's technical approach to data: automated collection, validation, and regular recalculation of ratings.

Education

Software engineer, specialty «Software Development for Production Process Automation», 2006 to 2011.

What the project does

fxgnosis collects and compares conditions of international forex brokers for traders from different regions: regulators, minimum deposits, spreads, available deposit and withdrawal methods. The goal: give the reader the ability to compare brokers by objective parameters in one place. The first region of the project is Kazakhstan; the plan is gradual expansion to other countries in different parts of the world.

How the rating is built

Every broker is evaluated under a fixed methodology of six factors. Four factors (Regulation, Trading Conditions, Payments, Reviews) are calculated automatically from public sources: broker websites, regulator registers, review aggregators. Two factors (Reputation and Support) come partially or fully from manual editorial assessment by a clear rubric.

The project's technical background allows automating most of the data collection, which reduces subjectivity and makes regular updates easier. The rating is recalculated on the last day of each month; the date of the last check is shown on every page. See the methodology page for details.

Editorial independence

The project is monetized through broker affiliate programs: when a reader follows an affiliate link, fxgnosis may receive compensation. This disclosure is explicitly marked on every broker page and does not affect ratings or positions in the list: the methodology is the same for brokers with and without an affiliate program. Brokers cannot influence ratings through payment. See more: affiliate disclosure.
