Libertex is a trading brand of the Forex Club group, operating since 1997. A multi-asset broker covering forex, stock CFDs, indices, commodities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs and bonds.

Overview

Regulation

The Forex Club group holds two forex-related licences, FSC Mauritius and FSCA South Africa, held by other entities of the group. The contracting entity for Chile is Forex Club International LLC, registered in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (registration No. 1277 LLC 2021), with card payment processing handled by Holcomb Finance Limited, registered in Cyprus (HE 183254).

The FSA of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines states on its website that it does not licence or regulate forex and CFD activity, so an SVG registration number is a corporate incorporation record, not a forex broker licence. The client agreement is governed by the law of the country where the company is registered and assigns jurisdiction to its courts. In Chile the CMF keeps the Ley Fintech register of providers established in the country and publishes alerts about entities operating outside it. Negative balance protection applies, so a client cannot lose more than their deposit.

A query goes first to customer support, which undertakes to deal with it usually within seven business days. A formal complaint is then sent from the registered email address to [email protected] with the account number, the order numbers, the date and the claim amount. If the answer does not satisfy the client, the case can be referred to the independent Financial Commission, whose decisions are binding on the company.

Platforms and instruments

Libertex terminal MetaTrader 4 MetaTrader 5

The Libertex terminal has a simplified interface; MetaTrader 4 and 5 come in both Instant and Market execution variants. Instrument categories include cryptocurrencies, stocks, indices, forex, metals, agriculture, oil and gas, ETFs and bonds. Over 1,000 instruments in total. Client money is paid into bank accounts held in the company's name and pooled with other clients in an omnibus account rather than individually segregated; no interest is paid on it.

Trading conditions

There is no classic spread. The commission is floating, charged as a percentage of trade volume: 0.007% on forex, 0.003% on metals and 0.1% on cryptocurrencies. It is charged once when the position opens and covers the full cycle.

The multiplier depends on the instrument and is set by the trader when opening a position; the turbo versions carry the higher caps. The minimum trade size is $20 of position volume, $10 on platinum and palladium. Minimum deposit $50 on both online banking and cards. The account can be denominated in USD or CLP. After ninety days without trades, deposits or withdrawals the account counts as inactive and is charged a fee under the rules published on the website; once the balance is down to zero the company can close the account.

Online banking runs through Khipu, with Banco de Chile, Banco Estado, Banco Falabella, Banco Santander, BCI and MACH on the bank list. Khipu, MACH and Binance Pay are deposit-only. Withdrawal times and fees: local bank transfer 2-5 days (5 USD + 2.5%); cards 1-5 days ($2); Skrill instant and Neteller 24 hours (0%); international bank wire 2-5 days ($29). Crypto covers USDT in three networks, USD Coin, TrueUSD, Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, ADA, Dash and Zcash, each with its own fee: USDT TRC-20 $3, USDT and USD Coin ERC-20 15 USD + 0.1%, Ethereum 7 USD + 0.1%, Bitcoin 43 USD + 0.1%.

Withdrawals follow a return-to-source policy: funds are returned via the same method used for the deposit until the deposit amount is recovered; any excess profit can then be withdrawn through a different available method.

Localisation and support

The website and educational materials are translated into Spanish. The trading terminal interface remains in English. Chilean phone support is available on +56 2 3210 4905, alongside 24/7 web chat and email at [email protected].

Copy Trading

Libertex Social Copy Trading is available to clients with an MT4 account. Pre-built trading systems are filtered by yield, risk and required deposit. According to Libertex, each strategy is tested on real trading accounts for a minimum of three months before being offered. The rule “one trade account, one trade system” applies: connecting a second system requires opening another MT4 account.

Regulation & Licenses

Financial Sector Conduct Authority is the South African market conduct regulator, founded in 2018 as the successor to the FSB. It licenses forex brokers as Financial Services Providers (FSPs) under the FAIS Act.

No investor compensation fund for forex broker clients. Protection relies on FAIS licensing requirements and mandatory segregation of client funds.

Financial Services Commission of Mauritius is the non-bank financial services regulator of Mauritius, founded in 2001. It licenses forex brokers, investment funds and insurance firms.

The Stockbroking Compensation Fund covers only firms operating on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius. Most retail forex/CFD brokers are outside its scope.
