Overview
Regulation
The group holds two regulator licences: IFSC Belize (RoboForex Ltd, for international clients including KZ) and CySEC (RoboMarkets Ltd, a separate entity for EU clients). Clients from Kazakhstan are served by RoboForex Ltd under licence IFSC Belize 9759600. The CySEC licence of the sister company RoboMarkets does not extend to KZ clients. Negative balance protection is offered only as a revocable promotional program; under the base client agreement, the client must cover any deficit within two business days if the balance goes negative.
RoboForex Ltd is also a Category A member of the self-regulatory organisation The Financial Commission with Compensation Fund participation (payouts up to €20,000 per complaint if the broker refuses to comply with a Commission ruling).

In 2023 CySEC issued a warning to the sister company RoboMarkets Ltd (EU entity) for offering non-financial incentives to retail clients, a breach of CySEC and ESMA rules. No equivalent action has been taken against RoboForex Ltd.
The independent European compliance watchdog Fintelegram, on 18 September 2023, added RoboForex to its Red Compliance List. Specific concerns: no EEA authorisation despite open registration of EEA residents; leverage above EEA limits (up to 1:1000 at the time of review); pre-KYC deposits up to €25,000 via Perfect Money and up to $10,000 by card (above the EEA pre-KYC limit of €2,500). Inclusion in the Red List is an independent assessment, not a legal ruling.
