Overview
Regulation
The Tickmill group holds licences with the FCA in the United Kingdom (Tickmill UK Ltd), CySEC in Cyprus (Tickmill Europe Ltd) and the FSCA in South Africa (Tickmill South Africa (Pty) Ltd), alongside a DFSA-registered representative office in Dubai. In South Africa clients are onboarded through Tickmill South Africa (Pty) Ltd, an FSCA-authorised Financial Services Provider (FSP 49464), while trading accounts are contracted with Tickmill Ltd under FSA Seychelles SD008. Because the local entity is FSCA-authorised, an unresolved complaint can be escalated to the FAIS Ombud after the broker's own procedure.

Regulation & Licenses
File first with the broker: the Ombud takes a complaint only if the broker failed to resolve it within six weeks. Then escalate to the FAIS Ombud: faisombud.co.za, email [email protected], free for the complainant. The Ombud mediates and can award compensation up to R3.5 million (previously R800,000; the new limit applies to complaints received from 1 July 2024 and is not retrospective). Costs and interest fall outside the limit, and the limit itself can be exceeded if the responding party agrees in writing.
